Crossover star Emma-Jean Thackray makes her Taiwan debut at Billboard Live TAIPEI!

[12 March 2026] Multi-dimensional musician, multi-instrumentalist and producer Emma-Jean Thackray will take the stage at Billboard Live TAIPEI for the first time, marking her first-ever performance in Taiwan.

Described by The Guardian as “a crossover star,” Emma-Jean Thackray moves effortlessly between hip hop, grunge, jazz, soul, pop, funk and electronic music, becoming one of the most creative voices of her generation with a musical language that defies categorisation.

Her second album Weirdo, released last year, was entirely created by her alone—from composition, performance and arrangement to recording and mixing. The record blends George Clinton’s funk universe with the rock spirit of Kurt Cobain, while also infusing her signature dark humour and candid emotion. Through sincere reflections on grief, survival and being an outsider, the album resonated widely and was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, presenting a powerful and deeply personal musical statement.

【Important Notes】

● To purchase tickets, you must first complete the free membership registration on the Billboard Live TAIPEI official website. It is recommended to log in to your account in advance to proceed with the ticket purchase process.

● Payment methods are limited to credit card or Apple Pay. All tickets are electronic tickets (QR Code); paper tickets are not provided.

● Online ticket sales are available until one hour before the show starts. If seats remain available afterward, they will be sold at the venue counter.

● Each member may purchase up to 5 tickets.

● Ticket prices include the admission ticket and one Welcome Drink only, and do not include food or beverages.

● There is no minimum charge at the venue.

● The venue provides a full range of drinks and food services. Outside food and beverages (including bottled water) are not allowed. Food and beverage service will be available both before and during the performance.

● Each performance does not have a fixed duration. The actual performance length will be announced on-site.

● Pair Seats are sold as a set and cannot be split for individual purchase. S6–S11 are shared table seating areas and are not private boxes. S6 and S7, S8 and S9, S10 and S11 are adjacent seating areas at the same table. If both seating areas at the same table are purchased together, the table will be reserved exclusively for that group of guests.
